Canon EOS 450D Review - Brand New

Here is a Canon EOS 450D Review for anyone who might consider buying this camera.
The Canon EOS 450D Digital SLR camera is classified as a consumer or entry-level model. In other words, Canon's target market when they designed this camera was the average consumer, someone relatively new to photography, but ready to step up from the point-and-click pocket-sized cameras.
They are also a good choice for anyone that is tired of using their phone for taking photos. In some cases, the shots turn out well, but they are simply not the best quality.
If you are a newbie, you might be wondering why some cameras create better images than others. Part of that has to do with the number of megapixels. For example, this model has 12.2 megapixels per image. A camera-phone might have as many as 3 megapixels. The average phones have only about 1-1.5 MPs.

But, it is not simply the number of MPs that make the images from a real camera better than those you can take with a phone. It is also the size and quality of the lens. In phones and many point-and-shoot cameras, the lenses are simply too small.
So, that's why you want a camera. Now, if you want to take some good photos and you are trying to figure out the difference between the cameras on the market, let me tell you a little about the Canon EOS 450D Digital SLR camera and how it compares to other brands.
12.2 megapixels is good. By comparison the Nikon D90 has 12.3 MP, but retails for nearly twice as much.
The 76mm LCD monitor, which is what you will use to preview your photos, and for the live view feature, is a good size. Anything smaller can be difficult to see.
It is the standard size found on entry level and mid-priced brands. In other words, buying something that costs more than the Canon EOS 450D Digital SLR camera will probably not give you a larger LCD monitor.
In my Canon EOS 450D review, I also want to touch on the following: The flash pops up, which is one of the things that make it more compact. It might not fit in a small pocket, but you can easily carry it in a purse, backpack or a deep jacket pocket. The pop-up flash is a standard feature on most comparably priced brands.
Canon's newer models have not improved that much. The only feature that makes the 500D more attractive to some people is the ability to record short movies or videos and play them on a high definition TV.
Other than the movie feature, which can be frustrating to use, the Canon EOS 450D Digital SLR camera has everything found on the 500D. As long as it is still available and sells for a lower price, I believe that it is your best buy.
You can take amazing photos with it. It is lightweight, but durable. The majority of the consumer reviews have been positive. Even the few negatives are not that critical. It is an excellent camera and it sells for a reasonable price.
